Three-Season Gear List
Ok...so I was fine before I started making this page. Then I started weighing everything in my kit and became a little OCD. Maybe a lot OCD. The digital scale is accurate to 1/8 oz (2 g).
Using these weights, my Big Four totals 5 lbs 4+ oz, and my base weight for a weeklong three-season trip is just under 11 lbs. For a 7 day unresupplied trip, adding in food and water, that's still well under 30 lbs starting total pack weight. Not bad for 7 days!
I could surely go lower, but I'm not willing to give up certain comforts, and I can comfortably carry 30 lbs on the rare occasions when I actually make it out for seven unresupplied days at a time.

Notes to reduce weight:
- Replace pack to save up to 20 oz. I'll count this one as 10 oz, leaving me with a 16 oz pack.
- Replace 15 oz JetBoil with 2 oz Alcohol Stove set to save 13 oz.
- Drop sit pad to save 4.125 oz.
- Replace hammock supports with Air Core Plus and HH huggers to save 2.75 oz.
- Drop headlamp to save 2.625 oz.
- Drop Nalgene canteen to save 2.375 oz.
- Replace Packa with DropStopper jacket and pack cover to save 2 oz.
- Replace tarp tensioners with Air Core 2 to save 1 oz.
- Replace ThermaRest clothing bag with JRB sack to save .625 oz.
But honestly, with a 10 pound pack I'm not worried about another 2-1/2 pounds.
